The Wellness Center at North Salinas High School (NSHS) offers a safe, supportive space where students can access free and confidential social-emotional support. Students can take wellness breaks, connect to counseling and resources, and access services that support their overall well-being.

Daybreak Telehealth

Interested in talking to a therapist outside of school but don't know where to go? Salinas Union School District is working with Daybreak Telehealth to offer online therapy to students for no cost to students or families. You can meet with a therapist online from 8AM - 7PM Monday through Saturday. Submit the wellness center referral form (linked above) to talk to someone about Daybreak today.

Community Schools

North Salinas High School follows the Community School model, where we highlight services, resources, and opportunities available to students and families in our Viking community. Through partnerships with community organizations, NSHS supports academic success, health and wellness, and family engagement, while also offering ways for students and families to get involved and stay connected. Homeless & Foster Youth

All school-age children experiencing homelessness are entitled to the same free and appropriate public education as all other students. Our mission is to remove barriers to enrollment, attendance, and academic success for homeless students. We are here to help and support you every step of the way.

SUHSD Homeless & Foster Youth Services

Community Closet & Pantry

The Community Closet is open to anyone in need of clothing items. It offers a variety of gently used clothing to help support students and families with everyday essentials in a welcoming and accessible space.

Our pantry is always fully stocked with canned foods, pasta, beans, and other non-perishable items to help support food security and ensure students and families have access to nutritious options when they need them.

Viking Request for Assistance Form

If you or anybody you know needs help, please use our Request for Assistance form for referrals to the Wellness Center. All requests are confidential and will be taken care of in 24-48 hours on school days.
